Hardwood Floor Sanding & Refinishing in Los Angeles
Worn, scratched or dull wood floors? Legno Hardwood sands and refinishes hardwood floors in Los Angeles. We take the floor back to bare wood, apply the color you choose and finish it with fresh protective coats, so it looks new again.
Not sure if your floor can be sanded? Send us a few photos and we will let you know. If the floor is past refinishing, we also sell and install new floors, including European oak and white oak flooring.

What Floor Refinishing Includes
- Sanding: the old finish, stains and surface scratches come off with a drum sander.
- Buffing between passes: for an even, smooth surface.
- Edge and detail work: along walls, cabinets and corners, done by hand where a big sander can not reach.
- Stain or natural color: including custom color matching to your cabinets, stairs or other floors.
- Finish coats: applied by roller or by hand to protect the wood.

Step 1: Sanding Back the Old Finish
The drum sander takes off the old finish, stains and surface scratches, down to clean, bare wood.
The floor is buffed between sanding passes so the surface is smooth and even. Our sanders collect dust in their own bags, and we cover and protect the areas around the work.

Step 2: Hand Detail Along Cabinets and Edges
Areas a big sander can not reach, like along kitchen cabinets and walls, are worked by hand so the whole floor matches.
Careful edge work is what makes a refinished floor look even from wall to wall.
- Edges and corners
- Along cabinets and walls
- Even look wall to wall

Step 3: Stain and Color
With the floor back to bare wood, we apply the color you choose: natural, light, warm or dark.
Want to match other floors, cabinets or stairs? Ask about our custom color matching.

Step 4: Finish Coats
Finish coats protect the wood and give the floor its final look. Coats go on by roller or by hand, and each coat dries before the next one.
Ask us which finish fits how you live: busy kitchens, pets and kids, or rooms with less traffic.
- Protective finish coats
- Roller or hand applied
- Your choice of sheen
